Demon King Daimo

Hey guys, back with another request, I'd love it if you can help me again :)

I recently watched Demon King Daimo, and I liked it a good deal (Chaotic ending sucked, though), and would like another one like it. Here are some guidelines

-Magic is a +++
-Being feared in the school (rightfully or no, doesn't matter) is a +++ (Think Demon King Daimo and MxU Manga.)
-Romance is fine
-Ecchi is fine, as long as not overdone. I dislike censoring, but w/e
-Action is good, doesn't have to be all action though. Gotta have a break every now and then.
-Not anything like Zero no Tsukaima. ZnT was a fantastic series... for the first season. For seasons 2 and 3, though, it just become a shitball of fanservice.
-Must be an anime. I have trouble following manga fight scenes.
-NO Magical transforming baton-waving unicorn-loving girl animes.

I can only really think of Demon King and MxU for what I've watched/read fitting this. Some other magic animes that I have watched are
-Rental Magica
-ZnT
-Index (Terrible terrible terrible... way too chaotic, nothing explained, no sense in it.)
-Railgun (Not technically magic... but was still good)
-Negima
-Some one with a blue-haired vampire
-Macademi Wasshoi!
-Demon King Daimo
-Shakugan no Shana (Excited for the third season! <3)
-F/SN (Good anime, but not what I am looking for atm)

Out of those, I especially like Rental Magica, because it wasn't a BS anime. With some afterthought, SnS would be my #1 on the list. Screwing around is fine, as long as it doesn't get to ZnT levels.
