Problem Hide Signatures not working

I'm trying to use the hide specific signatures option, but it's not working. I enter the username exactly as it appears (double and triple checked, even tried copy-pasting) and in the format the field heading says to, but it still says
"You did not enter the correct format for the [beta] Hide Signatures field. Please read the field description for the expected format."
Help?:confused:
