I'm looking to buy an All-in-One (at least a scanner, printer, and the ability to combine and copy) printer. I need it to print really nice pictures and computer graphics, so I'm looking at the best photo quality ones. Right now I've got the Epson Artisan 835, which is ~$150 and a 6 color (I read somewhere that 6 colors gives the best quality an inkjet can give). Any suggestions on better choices that are the same or less expensive?
The printer I have right now is pretty old, I got it in 2005. I think that even back then it was middling or slightly great quality, so now it's only good for word processing. Can someone tell me why when I print pictures on it, the pictures have subtle horizontal lines (they become more obvious as the ink runs out)? And also why when I print pictures on it, they're always quite a few shades darker and much duller than they look on my computer? These quirks have been around since day 1, they're not from age. Please only suggest printers to me that won't do these annoying things?
