theres the main group and then there the guy that saves the main group and never joins them
Yeah, I want main character to be the guy that helps/saves the group but never joins them permanently
for example If Tales of the Abyss just told about Asch's adventure rather than Luke and the main parties adventure
Also is there a anime/manga where two friends/or brothers who are leaders of a certain group and having a war with each other
sort of like if the persona 3 and 4 clashed against each other

Yukari vs Chie
Junpei vs Yosuke etc
Like each member of their group has a rival on the opposing side equal to them
