How to add permanent subs?

The problem is that it's a divx video that I need to convert to WMV, but converting it isn't a problem. Basically when I convert the subs are gone, so I wanted to know how can I convert but include those divx only subs? Maybe there's an app that I can download which automatically adds the subs without any hard work? Thanks in advance.
