Pretty simple request, I'm looking for stories in which you have a hero (or heroine) who's struggling to protect his friends but at the same time either he's trying to keep them from knowing what's happening or somehow the situation just makes it impossible for them to know. For instance, in the early part of Guyver, Sho is desperate to keep his friend/crush Mizuki from finding out about the "monsters" he's been fighting and what danger she's in. And yeah, like in Guyver, it's fine if the characters do find out about the situation and how hard he's been fighting. Bonus if the characters kept in the dark have a bad opinion of him, either hating his guts for some misunderstanding or just thinking of him as a weakling, again as Mizuki thought of Sho before she found out how hard he'd been fighting to protect everyone.
